Welcome to Kiwanis Barossa
Kiwanis is a global organisation of volunteers dedicated to serving the children of the world- starting right here in the Barossa Valley.
We are a group of like -minded positive people open to all, covering a wide range of occupations, backgrounds and ages.

The Kiwanis Club of the Barossa in South Australia was Chartered on July 3rd 1986. It now consists of over 30 members who volunteer to raise funds or provide ‘help in kind’ for children in need.
​
Together we have fun as we work together and grow in friendship.
Our Impact
We are a vibrant group who have fun whilst raising funds or volunteering in various ways to assist children. The funds are used to improve the lives of children, both in our own community and further afield. This could be an individual child with needs, or a group who needs special support, or to encourage and inspire their growth and development.

Service is at the heart of our Kiwanis club. The thing that makes Kiwanis the best service organsation in the world is its focus on children. It gives us the unique opportunity to help make a better world today. We are helping to build leaders of tomorrow who will make the world better still. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen.

Kiwanis Supports
​
With the funds we raise we contribute to various organisations and projects including:
Heart Kids, Terrific Kids and Kids for Others, Lutheran Community Care Christmas Hampers, Raw Impact, Faith College Pedal Prix, Secondary Schools Business Week, Riding for the Disabled, Make a Wish, Bright Futures Child Sponsorship, Student End of Year Awards, Guide Dogs for Children with Autism.

Both Terrific Kids and Kids for Others programs are Kiwanis club initiatives in local schools. Both, in their unique ways, encourage students to grow in leadership and provide service to others in need.

A major financial contribution to ELIMINATE, Kiwanis International’s project, in partnership with UNICEF, to help eradicate deadly maternal neonatal tetanus worldwide.
